Description	Hospital-based clinical training program in catheter-based interventions for Peripheral Arterial Disease. Phase I includes case observation, didactic education, wet and dry lab, and simulator training. Phase II and III are 2- Day "Hands On" courses designed specifically with the participants credentialing and specific needs in mind.

The Endovascular Preceptorship Program

Title	The Endovascular Preceptorship Program

Description	The Endovascular Preceptorship Program is a three-month mini-fellowship providing hands-on training for physicians in all types of catheter-based interventions for non-cardiac vascular disease. Trainees typically perform over 100 catheter-based interventions as the primary operator, including carotid stenting, viseral angioplasty, lower extremity subintimal angioplasty, abdominal and thoracic aortic stent grafting, thrombolysis and coil embolization. Procedures are performed at both the Cornell and the Columbia campuses.

Description	Attendees will be exposed to live surgical cases, Q&A Sessions, open discussion, and rounding on wound patients in order to further develop their surgical and clinical skills in this setting. This course will give students the best exposure possible to the continuity of care experience. In addition, a selection of suggested wound articles will be provided to students to study and generate discussion. The advanced preceptorship program is a 18 CME accredited course consisting of 2 full days of wound training. Advanced preceptorships will be held on a Thursday and Friday at The Allen Pavilion, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center. Advanced preceptorships will be offered several times each month, 20 advanced preceptorships in total from July 2007 through June 2008. Because of the practical and interactive nature of the course, size will be limited to a maximum 6 participants per program. Participation in this program offers a unique opportunity to expand the knowledge and expertise of even those wound specialists with significant involvement in wound healing. It is an advanced course, and participants must fulfill the following criteria: Currently perform wound surgery (inpatient or out patient debridement) Currently have substantial involvement in a wound program/practice

Description	Videoconference between the Columbia and Cornell campuses for physicians, vascular surgery fellows, residents, physician assistants and nurses. Includes lectures and case presentations. Topics include challenging vascular and endovascular surgery cases as well as lectures on vascular pathophysiology and vascular non-invasive lab studies. Includes monthly journal club.
